Acceptance

Acceptance means fully acknowledging and not fixating on how it shouldn’t be that way. This mindset moves us away from the often harsh judgment of others and allows us to break away from thoughts of unfairness. Some people have a hard time accepting situations because they feel as though acceptance is the same thing as agreeing with or saying that it is OK. In other cases, people don’t want to acknowledge the newness that would come with acceptance.

Thornton Senior News

The center was bussing Thursday at lunch time with Ann Brown, Sammy Cooper (a newcomer and we hope he will keep joining us each week), Lorene Stembridge, Snuffy Bennett, Gayla Lind, Elizabeth Neason, Alma Stewart, Wayne Sharp, Earl Mask, Doris Lemley, James Lenamond, Hank and Elle Staniszewski and their three grandsons, Roger and Sharon Watson, Janice Bilbrey and myself. After lunch, we played bingo with Elizabeth Neason calling the games. Winners were Doris Lemley winning two games, Hank Staniszewski winning a game, James Lenamond, Gayla Lind and I were joint winners on a game and Alma Stewart was the blackout winner of the day. Congratulations to all. Thanks Elizabeth for calling the bingo.
