Groesbeck Stage Two Drought Plan in Effect

Stage Two of the Drought Contingency Plan went into effect Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

“Since the extreme weather has caused our city water supply to drop to 50%, and our daily usage has climbed to 700,000 gallons per day (up from an average of 500,000 gallons per day), it has become necessary to move into Stage Two-Moderate Water Shortage Conditions,” explained the City of Groesbeck. “ We are asking you to comply with these restrictions as we work to mitigate the effects of the high temperatures and lack of rainfall on our water supply.”

The restrictions will be mandatory, and violators are subject to enforcement action.

Any questions regarding the restrictions should be directed to Public Works Director Keith Tilley at 254- 729- 3293, option 5.
