Motor Vehicle Burglaries reported in Groesbeck

Police asking for information

Motor vehicle burglaries were reported in Groesbeck on Tues., Aug. 31 in the blocks of 200 West Sabine, 300 East Angeline, and 400 North Grayson. 

The Groesbeck Police Department investigated two reported motor vehicle burglaries and one attempted motor vehicle burglary that occurred during the overnight hours. The offenses occurred in the 200 block of West Sabine Street, the 300 block of East Angeline Street, and the 400 block of North Grayson Street. 

The suspects removed cash from the Sabine Street vehicle and attempted to burglarize the North Grayson Street vehicle but were unsuccessful. 

The suspects were able to locate and remove a wallet, a Milwaukee brand reciprocating saw, and a Glock 17 firearm from the Angeline Street vehicle. 

A witness reported seeing two males running in the 500 block of North Grayson Street following the attempted motor vehicle burglary shortly before midnight. 

One suspect is described as wearing all dark clothing and the second suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie and white jogger-style pants.
