Groesbeck’s Hurt earns second-team all-state honors from TSWA

Groesbeck defensive tackle Braden Hurt was voted to the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State second team for the 2021 season.
Hurt, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound junior, made 101 tackles, including 17 tackles for loss. He had eight sacks, caused six fumbles and recovered five fumbles. He was the District 8-3A, Division I Defensive Lineman of the Year. He previously had been selected a first-team Class 3A all-state selection by the Padilla Poll.
