Shepherd Sayings

The Bible says, “There is a way that seems right to man, in the end it leads to death” (Prov. 14:12).

The ways of the world lead to spiritual death. God’s ways lead to spiritual life.

The person who lives by what seems and feels right faces spiritual death. Because, “Those controlled by human nature cannot please God” (Rom. 8:8).

God’s way and man’s way point in opposite directions. Man’s way leads to spiritual death. God’s way leads to spiritual life.

Oh yes, “There is a way that seems right to the human mind. However, in the end it leads to destruction” (Prov. 14:1).

Two men got a truck, went to Florida and bought a load of water melons. They paid $1.00 each for the melons.

They took the load of melons to Detroit and sold them for $1.00 apiece. The melons sold quickly. One said to the other, “Man, we are making money, we need to get a bigger truck.”

These fellows were doing business, but they were not making any money. They were busy, and they were trying but they were on the road to disaster.

People unlearned in the ways of business will surely fail. Those unlearned in the ways of God ignore him and make wrong choices that lead to spiritual death.

Heavenly Father, in our hearts we want to live Your way. Forgive our failures. Please help us, in Jesus name, make the right choices that lead to YOU. Amen!
