The Limestone County Historical Commission held its regular meeting at 6 p. m. on October 4, in the Limestone County Courthouse. Members present were Donald ( Bubba) McDonald, Linda Jordan, Bill Ferris Linda Ferris and William Reagan.
The Groesbeck Study Club had its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 18 at the Groesbeck Woman’s Club at 6 p.m. Mary Belle Leach, President welcoming everyone and turned it over to the Hostesses for the evening.
Two award-winning local quilters presented a program on “American Heritage through Quilting” to the members of the Jonathan Hardin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution during a recent meeting The chapter met Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia.
The Malpass Brothers, traditional country music boys recently went home with Duo/Group of the Year and Entertainer of the Year at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville and are coming to Groesbeck Thursday, Dec. 1.
