Pets can develop chronic pain for a variety of reasons, but because they cannot verbally tell us when they’re hurting, overcoming the communication barrier can quickly become challenging for pet owners who want to alleviate any and all pain in their fourlegged friends. Dr. Daniel Eckman, a staff veterinarian at the Texas A& M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences’ Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, discusses some of the most common causes and symptoms of chronic pain in pets.

The 24th Annual Jason Ward Memorial Golf Tournament will occur on Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, September 24, at the Tri-County Golf Club at the Vineyards on Highway 84 in Teague, Texas. Registration for the scramble format begins at 7:30 a.m. with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Players receive tournament caps and a goodie bag at registration. Farmhouse Restaurant will serve a delicious lunch to players as the family presents prizes to raffle ticket winners, the top three teams, and players with closest to the pin and longest drive.
