Elect Bill David Sadler For Limestone County Commissioner, Precinct 1

I am Bill David Sadler and I am seeking the position of County Commissioner for Precinct

1. I am a 7th generation Texan and come from a long line of ranchers, farmers, and public servants. I am a graduate of Groesbeck High School Class of 1991 and I earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Baylor University. After college graduation, I married Melody Stockinger and we,are the proud parents of two children. Blane is in the ninth grade at Groesbeck High School and Ava is in the fifth grade at Enge Washington Intermediate School. My parents are Linda Stewart Sadler and the late Bill Sadler.

I have been very involved in my community as I have either been elected or appointed to various boards and held leadership positions in many. I have served on the Groesbeck City Council, Groesbeck Economic Development Board, Limestone Medical Center Board, Director of First National Bank, Groesbeck Ex-Students Association, and the Groesbeck ISD School Board. I am very involved with my children, niece, and nephew serving as a coach and on the boards for Groesbeck Little Dribblers and Groesbeck Youth Baseball/ Softball Associations. Through all these organizations, I have dealt with budgets, planning, policymaking, and long-range goals.

With the privilege of serving on these boards and organizations, I am well prepared to take on the duties of county commissioner. My focus will be: exercise broad policy-making authority, maintain county roads and bridges within the precinct, adopt county budget and tax rate, fill vacancies in elected and appointed offices, set salaries and benefits, authorize contracts, and provide/maintain all county building and facilities.

I have been very fortunate to be employed by various successful businesses and gained valuable experience as a result. I worked as an insurance agent for Texas Farm Bureau for a period of two years. My next job experience was a loan officer at First National Bank which evolved into a Senior Vice-President position. However, as my father's illness progressed, I realized I was needed by my family to assist with the family’s real estate and cattle operation on a full-time basis. Therefore, I ended by 20- year tenure at the bank and began working full-time for Sadler Land and Realty and Sadler-Baize Ranch.

My father has always been a huge role model for me. He taught me the importance of being open-minded and honest in all endeavors. I take great pride in practicing this in my daily life as a husband, father, home relator, rancher, and community member.

Several people have asked why you want this position. My answer is very simple. My family has deep roots in Limestone County, and I care deeply about our county and our residents. I feel it is imperative for all the groups within the county to work well with one another. I also think change is sometimes good and needed. If elected, I will do my very best to serve the people of Precinct 1 and Limestone County. I will always be open-minded and make fair decisions.

Your vote and support would be greatly appreciated.
