Fatality crash occurs outside Groesbeck

Local authorities and fire departments responded to a single-vehicle crash at 5:40 a.m. on SH 164 near LCR 1953, several miles east of Groesbeck. An eastbound truck was disabled following a collision with a cow. A sport-utility vehicle driving in the opposite direction crashed into the totaled truck. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, identified as Aundrea Simms of Madisonville. No other injuries were reported.  

The Department of Public Safety, Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, Groesbeck Fire-Rescue and West Lake Limestone Volunteer Fire Department responded.
