FM 147 BRIDGE AT BIG BREEK TO CLOSE

WACO –  The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the Farm to Market 147 Bridge@ Big Creek, east of Marlin, effective immediately.  

A recent bridge inspection, identifying bridge columns needing repair, prompted this closure.  TxDOT is currently developing plans for repairs.  The bridge will remain closed until repairs can be affected.

Signs and message boards will be set up to detour traffic around the 3.7 mile section of roadway between FM 339 and FM 1240 in Falls and Limestone counties.  

Traffic south out of Groesbeck to Marlin on SH 14 will continue south to Kosse then detour west on SH 7 to Marlin.  Traffic eastbound out of Marlin will need to take SH 7 to Kosse.

The length of the closure is undetermined, at this time.

Other alternate routes are advised, if possible.
