Groesbeck PD debuts new app

The Groesbeck Police Department announced last week its partnership with Tip411 to develop a brand new alert and assistance app.

According to Groesbeck PD, the app will allow people to receive alerts, respond to requests for case assistance, view crime maps and submit anonymous tips directly to the police department.

In addition, residents can also submit anonymous tips by texting the keyword GPD followed by your tip to 847411. Where all identifying information is removed and replaced with a random character string that will enable two-way anonymous communication between the officer and the user.

Groesbeck PD has also added a “Submit A Tip” button to their Facebook page to access the system from there.

This system allows residents to report a tip without the fear of exposure or retaliation.

This free app is available for download in the Google Play Store and iTunes.
