Groesbeck senior class gets graduation, May 22

Groesbeck High School 2020 Graduation will take place on May 22, as determined by GISD board Mon. May 11 in a special meeting. However, there will be changes to this year’s graduation activities and ceremony as well as extra precautions taken due to COVID-19.

Each senior will have two parents or family members on the field that will hand them their diploma and have a photo taken before returning to their seats on the field.

Graduating seniors will be given four (4) tickets each to give to family or friends who will be assigned seats together in the home side bleachers following social distancing protocols as instructed.

For those that are not invited to the ceremony GISD will be recording and broadcasting the event. A fireworks show will be planned for the ending night finale. After the event, the attendees will be released in sections.
