As summer winds down, the City of Groesbeck is inviting furry friends to make a splash at the annual “Paws in the Pool” event on Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Groesbeck City Pool. This unique gathering offers dogs a chance to cool off and enjoy the water while adhering to a set of safety rules designed to ensure a fun and secure environment for all attendees.
A special team roping benefit event will take place this Sunday, July 20, at the Limestone County Fairgrounds in Groesbeck, Texas, in support of Danny Dupree as he continues his journey toward receiving a heart and kidney transplant.
The Texas Swamp Donkeys 14-and-under baseball team from Groesbeck enjoys wielding their bats. They did just that last week and slugged their way to a Texas Teenage Baseball Association state championship at Groesbeck.
It was a record breaking year as 370 kids fished at the 23rd Annual Kid Fish hosted by the KNES 99.1 at Lake Limestone on Saturday, July 12. There were a total of 395 kids that pre-registered for the event.
