Local Evening Gowns, Prom Dresses Needed for Giveaway Event

Local residents are encouraged to donate gently used evening gowns and prom dresses to help area high school students attend prom in style.

The Bliss is currently accepting donations for its upcoming Prom Dress Giveaway Event. Donations may be dropped off at the store, located at 309 W. Navasota St. in Groesbeck, through Sunday, March 20.

The boutique is seeking gently used prom dresses, evening gowns, shoes and accessories in all sizes and styles. All donated items will be given free of charge to local high school girls during the giveaway event.

The Bliss Prom Dress Giveaway Event will give students the opportunity to select a dress at no cost and enter prize drawings. Organizers say the goal is to create a special experience for each participant.

“We want to make the girls feel special, just like they are shopping in store for their own dress,” said Nikki, owner of The Bliss.

Community members who would like to contribute can bring donations directly to the store during business hours. For more information about donating or the giveaway event, call 903-6446115.
