The 125th year celebration for the Groesbeck Journal was a very special day for yours truly and other members and friends of the Hawkins family.
The attendance at the celebration was great, and the food was delicious.
The special section on the Journal’s 125 years was excellent, and members of the Hawkins family really appreciate the great recognition of our family.
Hats off to Jennifer Paul, general manager, and Alexandra Cannon, copy editor and staff writer, for their excellent work in planning the special section and the activities of the day to make the event an outstanding celebration. Alexandra also proved to be a great tour guide in showing off the Journal facilities to visitors. The old equipment at the Journal proved to be very interesting to visitors.
Here’s wishing the Groesbeck Journal many more birthdays!
Here’s hoping everyone had a great Independence Day on Tuesday. The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce, the city of Groesbeck, and several other organizations, businesses and individuals are to be commended in planning such an inclusive July 4th celebration.
