The Hams’ 65th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
James Ronald and Dorothy Alberta (Frye) Ham celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 2pm at their home in Groesbeck, Texas. Dorothy and James were married on September 15, 1952, in Englewood, Colorado (Arapaho County) at the Hillside Free Methodist Church. Officiating was Reverend Bob Peeples. They have four sons: James Jay Ham of Azle, TX; Ronald Ray Ham of McAlister, OK; George Geoffrey Ham of Bristol, TX; and Erik Erwin Ham of Groesbeck, TX. They have eleven grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
The Hams are both pastors and officers of the Salvation Army. They have lived in eight different states. The Hams say that their faith in God, love for each other, and family values and activities have sealed their commitment to each other for 65 years-a rare accomplishment.
