Rita's Reflections

By Rev. Dr. Rita Sims, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, Kosse

Last week, snow descended upon Texas in many regions. This area did not get as much snow as other areas, but most experienced the deep freeze of winter. With all of the snow falling, I saw some wonderful images of snowflakes being magnified to the point where the individual patterns of the snowflakes could be seen. Each one was unique, beautiful and complex.

The intricate designs of the snowflakes made me thankful once again for God's wonderful creation. There are so many details to each creature, each aspect of the great cosmos that God has given to us. Likewise, God has made each one of us with our own unique set of gifts, personalities, and idiosyncrasies. May we continue to rejoice over God's wonderful creation that we see in the world and in each other.
