Alfred Lee Jackson

Alfred Lee Jackson was born on June 4, 1950 in Limestone County, to the late Raymond Carl Jackson, Sr. and Idell Johnson Jackson. 
He confessed his faith at an early age at Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church. In later years, he was a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. 
Alfred attended school in Groesbeck, and graduated from Washington High School in 1969. 
He married the love of his life, Brenda Harris on June 5, 1971. To this union, three children were born. 
A.J. was employed by A.W. Cullum, Ken K. Keith, Brown & Root, Big Brown, and Westmoreland Coal Mine, where he retired in 2015. 
Mr. Jackson enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, hunting, mowing lawns, playing dominoes, and attending anything that involved his grandchildren and family. He never met a stranger, and always flashed a love- filled smile that lit up a room. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dwayne Jackson. 
Left to cherish his memory: wife, Brenda Jackson; son, Alfred DeJuan (Valerie); two daughters, Chantay (Jerome) and Esra (Marquel); grandchildren, Jayland, Jameria, Amiah, Sariyah, Ayahna, Jordan, Alaiya, A'mare', Julius, Aidan, Noah and Alani; one great grandchildren, Davontee'a Johnson, Jr.; one brother, Raymond Carl Jackson, Jr. (Maggie); two sisters, Vonda Richardson (Herbert) and Bridgett Jackson-Tatum (Elgrick); and a host of relatives and friends.
