Age 75
Funeral services for Arthur “Butch” White will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Carl Clark will officiate. Interment will follow at Dew Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. White passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at his residence in Mexia.
He was an electrician by trade and had his own business. He retired as an electrician from Mexia ISD. Mr. White was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia. He was also known as quite the jokester, especially to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Betty White of Mexia, three sons, Lee White of Dew, Jason White & wife Susan of New Braunfels, Chris White & wife Chrissy of Dew; three step-children, Larry Ferguson & wife Ginger of Shiloh, Kathy Jackson & husband Steve of Forrest Glade, Randy Ferguson of Cedar Island; eleven grandchildren, Travis White, Sydney McGowan & husband Seth, Linzy White, Mason White, Max White, James Garrett Ferguson, Sara Chiglo & husband Jordon, JoBeth Crook, Courtney Bess, Jennifer Jackson, Keith Jackson & wife Brittany; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sybil Lancaster of Lexington, Sharon St. Clair of Dew, Bonnie McCeig & husband Dale; one brother, Ronald White & wife Joy of Longview; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. White was preceded in death by four siblings, Dianna Neal, Charles Royce White, Lynn White, and Bobbie Jean White Davis.
