Billy Dan Thomason
May 23, 1936 - June 13, 2026
Billy was born in Fort Parker Texas, to Paul Thomason and Margarette Pesnell Thomason later as Margret Oswalt.
Billy graduated from high school in Fort Worth Texas, and he went on to build a long and successful career. Billy worked as a telegraph operator for the Santa Fe Railroad, where he later retired in California. Billy also worked as a freight broker where he retired from that profession as well.
Bill lived a full and honorable life , he was married for 44 wonderful years to his beloved wife, Joy Thomason until her passing. Billy loved her dearly, as well as her beautiful singing voice.
After Joy’s passing Billy moved to Arizona where he spent the latter years of his life.
Billy had many interests that brough him much joy, he loved ball room dancing, and continued to dance into his later years, including dancing abroad a cruise ship all the way to Europe while he was into his Eighties. Billy also enjoyed Gospel music, hearing about Jesus, swimming, dining out and his John Wayne movies, all western themed art and Rams Football!!
Billy was also a Mason and valued the fellowship and tradition and of the masonic lodge.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Paul Thomason and Margret Pesnell Thomason, his brother Staton Earl Thomson and his beloved wife Joy Thomason .
He is survived by his siter Patricia, his nieces and nephews and many cousins and extended family.
Billy will be remembered as an honorable man who lived a full and successful life, and he was deeply lived and will be terribly missed by all who knew him. His family will take comfort in knowing he is now with his lord and savior Jesus Christ.
