Blossom Orum William

Blossom Orum William was born November 5, 1933, to the union of Ed Orum and Veadies Orum in Groesbeck Texas.

Mrs. William attended Groesbeck Public Schools, Prairie View A & M University and attained several numerous professional certificates and academic recognitions.

At an early age she united with Head Branch Baptist Church and became the church’s lead pianist for many years.

Mrs. Williams married Lafayette B. Williams, JR., M.D. in March of 1963. This union yielded three children. Kvyette, Keith, and Lafayette III.

Upon completing her studies, Mrs. Williams taught in Groesbeck, Galveston and Detroit Independent School Districts. She later managed the Psychiatric Office for her husband Dr. Lafayette B. Williams. Later Mrs. William returned to Groesbeck and became a community and church leader. She became a member of the Board of Trustees for Groesbeck Independent School District and was chairperson for the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce She is survived by her daughter, Kvyette, a son, Keith and another son who proceeded her in death, Lafayette. She will be remember by grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
