Curtis Wayne Walton

Curtis Wayne Walton of Groesbeck passed away at home on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at age 58.

A Memorial Service with interment was held on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at New Hope Cemetery, with his brothers, Sam Walton and David Walton officiating.

Curtis was born May 27, 1961 to John Allen Walton and Royce Jean Lummus Walton in Houston. He lived in Houston, Brownsville, San Antonio before the family moved to Groesbeck in 1968. H e later moved with his mother to East Texas. When Curtis got out of school he worked some in the oil field, but he spent most of his working life as a car salesman in different towns from Conroe to Mexia. He eventually settled down back home in Groesbeck where he spent his remaining years with his brother Gene and their parents while they were still living.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, John and Royce Jean Walton and grandparents, Curnie and Altha Walton.

He is survived by his brothers, David and wife Audrey Walton, Sam and wife Brenda Walton, and Gene Walton.

Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephew, aunts, uncles, and many extended family and friends not closely related who called him Uncle Curtis.
