Elvin Chad Morehead

Elvin Chad Morehead, of Kosse, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at age 43.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Kosse City Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Fields officiating.

Chad was born September 1, 1977, to Elvin Marvin Morehead and Kathryn Ann Wright Morehead in Bryan. He grew up and attended school in Hearne.

Chad was an electrician by trade, but he had many other talents. He had been taught by his father how to do mechanical work. He was a hard worker at any job he undertook.

Chad loved his family. His laugh was contagious. Even though Chad didn’t live in Kosse, he had many friends there. He will be missed by all of them and his family.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Morehead (10/22/2019) and his grandparents, Cam and Irene Morehead and Grady and Klo Wright.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Morehead of Kosse; sister, Stephani Marshall of Groesbeck; his aunt, Judy Taylor of Groesbeck; his children: Kyle Morehead of Cleveland, Lex Morehead of Abilene, Lana Morehead of Abilene, Lane Morehead of Abilene, and Luca Morehead of Abilene; also, numerous cousins and many friends.

“Rest in peace, my precious son. You left way too soon from us. You no longer will be troubled. You can now walk by your Daddy’s side in Heaven. Some day you and Dad and me and your sister will be together as a family again. Just know, my son, you were deeply loved and will be so missed.” Love, Mom
