Jennifer Lee Zepeda

Jennifer Lee Zepeda passed away on December 26,2019 at Providence Hospice in Waco, Texas.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday January 11, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Church on the Rock in Groesbeck, Texas, with Pastor Sonny Bever.

Jennifer was born January 12,1972 in Richmond, Texas to Gerardo Zepeda and Mary Alice Guajardo Reese.

In 1910, Jennifer married Mick Marcus and had two beautiful daughters. They lived in Houston for a year and then moved to Miami, Florida. There they owned a flower shop for a few years and that’s where she got her passion for flowers and plants. Jennifer finally decided to move to Thornton, Texas to be close to her mother, Mary Alice Reese.

In 2013, Jennifer got her certification in Horticulture at Texas A&M. Her passion for plants and gardening continued. She also loved cooking and making wooden crafts. She enjoyed family time with her family. Jennifer at family gatherings always has everybody laughing. She had a great sense of humor.

In November 2019, Jennifer found out she had cancer and by December 26, 2019, the Lord took her home. It was a big shock to all her family. She leaves behind friends and family that loved her dearly. She will definitely be missed by so many.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her two nephews, Jacobey Arollo in 2015 and Darius Quinlan in 2017. She is survived by her mother, Mary Alice Reese, her stepfather Buddy White, one brother Jerry Zepeda, her two beautiful daughters, Tiffany Lide and husband Kelly Lide from Bernet, Texas, Brooke Marcus from Groesbeck, Texas, a son Jake Williams from Weatherford, Texas. Grandchildren, Holden J. Curton, Tralynn Rose Marcus, Colby Marcus from Groesbeck, Texas, Destiny Calderon from West, Texas and Legacy Leeann Lide from Bernett, Texas. Aunts and uncles: Sylvia and James Bailey from Groesbeck, Texas, Isabel Lerma from Roseberg, Texas, Delia and Richard Cuarenta from Rosenberg, Texas, Martha Guajardo from Rosenberg, Texas, Chris, and Ivy Guajardo from Groesbeck, Texas and Joe Richard Guajardo from Livingston, Texas. Too many to mention, Jennifer had numerous cousins that loved her dearly. Some of them have great memories of their cousin JenJen that they will always cherish in their hearts.
