Jimmy Dale Burrow

Jimmy Dale Burrow, 85, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully with family present, on May 9, 2025, in Waco, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 604 N Bonham St in Mexia, on Friday, May 23, with the Rosary at 11:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass to follow at noon. Lunch will follow at the church.
Jimmy, or Jim as he was called by friends, was born on October 9, 1939, in Bromide, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1962. He married Mildred Ann Davis in 1964, and they were married for 59 years. He started with the Oklahoma Police Department in 1964 and retired from there in 1985. After retiring from the police department, he worked for the Federal Marshals Service, working directly across the street when the Murrah building was bombed. He also spent many years as a delivery driver for Reid Printing in Edmond, Ok. Shortly after retiring, they both moved to their dream house on the lake at Lake Limestone in Groesbeck, Texas where there was a lot of time spent fishing and just enjoying their life together at the lake.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; father, Jack; mother, Bessie; and sister, Yvonne.
He is survived by their two children, David and wife Desiree of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Michelle and husband Scott Taylor of Groesbeck, Texas; brother, Bo Burrow of Edmond, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
