Larry Gayle Truett

On March 31, 2024, Larry Gayle Truett was called home by the Lord, surrounded by family.
Larry was born on Feb. 2, 1951, in Waco Texas. His parents were Hulon and Betty Joe
(Nix) Truett. Larry was raised in Waco before moving to the Marlin area in 1962. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1970.
He loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He also loved raising and feeding cattle and he always had a horse to ride. He was country through and through. His family was always first in his life.
Larry married Judy Jobe Truett on May 5, 2001, in Marlin Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson James (Jimbo) Jobe, and nephew Richard Grote. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Sarah, and husband Brian Hefelfinger of Marlin. Son Cody Truett and wife Angie of Riesel. Son Bradley Truett and wife Megan of Bastrop, daughter Shelby Contreras and Husband Ignacio of Groesbeck, stepson Jeff Jobe and wife Donna of Georgetown, stepson John Jobe and friend Julie Ehlers of Marlin, sister Anita Grote and husband Larry of Riesel, Nephew Lynn Grote and wife Wanda of Marlin, Steve Grote and wife Teresa of Riesel and grandchildren Haley Trotter and husband Sam of North Zulch, Hayden Hefelfinger of Marlin, Ty, and Tanner Truett of Riesel, Javier, Johanna, Natalie and Vivian Contreras of Groesbeck, Ellie Ray of Bastrop, Dalton Jobe and fiancée Brittany of Granger, Sydnee Jobe of Georgetown, Ethan Jobe and fiancé Savannah of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Jaycee and Jacob Jobe of Fairfield and numerous other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Encarnacion and the staff at Texas Oncology, Dr. Falcone and the staff at Waco Cardiology, the staff at Limestone Medical Center, Groesbeck LTC, and Accent Care.
