Louise Willett of Groesbeck passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Groesbeck LTC after a brief stay.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 25, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia with Father Pius Mathew officiating. The family will gather in the Fellowship Hall following Mass for a reception. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM at Thornton City Cemetery that afternoon.

Pallbearers will be Bill Rummell, Mike Wietzikoski, Jacob Young, Jacob Willett, Matt Wilson and Anson Wilson.

Louise was born December 23, 1924 in Bremond to John Joe and Mary (Kujawa) Schubrick. She spent her life in the Groesbeck area and was well known to almost everyone. Her greatest talent was sewing and garment alterations, although cooking was a close second. She managed the Jerrell sewing factory in Mexia for many years and many local seamstresses worked for Mrs. Willett.

In her later years Louise worked for Raymond and Mike Wietzikoski at the local Texaco gas station and for Bradley Swick at Swick’s BBQ. Even when she was hindered by poor vision due to macular degeneration, she continued to alter and mend garments for many satisfied customers.

Known as Mrs. Louise, Aunt Lula, Grandma and Mom, she will be missed by many who are sad that they will be able to celebrate her 95th birthday in a month.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wilmer D. Willett.

Louise is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Janice Willett of Huntsville; daughters and son-in-law, Pat and Al Bielamowicz of Richardson and Neta Young of Livingston; grandchildren, Gwen Luther, Keith Bielamowicz, Jacob Willett, Jordan Anderson and husband Brandon, Julie Young, Shelly Young, Jacob Young and wife Alisha; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Graden, Trace, Jake, Jaci, Bodhi and Shannon and sister Frances Zann.
