Mr. Tilotta passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his residence in Donie.

Mark was born in Houston, Texas on December 27, 1962 to parents Joe Jean Tilotta, Jr. and Aimee Lee Tilotta. He was raised by his loving mother. She brought him up to know the Lord in the Pentecostal faith. He loved the Lord his whole life and did his best to show God’s love to people. Mark dropped out of high school in the 11th grade and went to work at Krogers in Houston as a sacker where he worked for 20 years before retiring to Donie, Texas in 2000. Mark met the love of his life, Theresa, in August 2000 and they married on June 9, 2001 in Donie. Mr. Tilotta worked for Hicks Ferguson in Personville before he started work at Teague ISD as a custodian at the elementary school. He later moved into the maintenance department where one of his duties was to control traffic in the mornings and evenings. Mark would wave to everyone and he even started a tradition of dressing up with funny hats, beards or glasses to brighten up the day for the students, staff and parents. In 2002, Mark & Theresa started attending Groesbeck 1st Assembly of God Church, which is now the Living Proof Church, and was very active within the church, helping where he could. He loved listening and singing Christian music. Mark graduated from an online high school program.
