MARY ALICE REESE

Mary Alice Reese went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 2, 2026 at the age of 70 years old. She was born in Richmond, Tx on Feb. 27, 1955 to her parents Robert and Cecilia Guajardo. She grew up in Rosenberg. After high school, she went to cosmetology school and became a hairdresser for years. In the mid eighties she moved to Paris, Texas with her two children, Jennifer and Jerry Zepeda.

There she decided to go into phlebotomy. She loved working in the medical field. After her daughter Jennifer got married she moved to Miami. Mary Alice decided to move to Miami to be close to her daughter. There she continued to work as a phlebotomist at one of the hospitals in Miami.

In 1993 she moved to Groesbeck to be closer to her family. Later she got a job at the Mexia Hospital. In 1993- 1994 she started going to Church on the Rock. She became a member for many years.

She also devoted her life raising her two granddaughters Tiffany and Brooke Marcus. Mary Alice loved to work on the yard with her plants and flowers, refinishing old furniture, making all kinds of crafts, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to go fishing and camping any chance she would get. She also loved to hear her Joyce Myers on TV.

Mary Alice was preceded by her loving daughter, Jennifer Neason, her parents Robert and Cecilia Guajardo, two brothers, Robert Guarada Jr., Patrick Guajardo, two grandsons, Jacobey and Darius, and brother- in-law James Bailey.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Zepeda, granddaughters, Tiffany and husband Kelvin Vaughn, Brooke Marcus and boyfriend Clay Wimberly, and spouse Buddy White. Her great grandchildren whom she loved dearly are Holden, Destiny, Tralynn, Legacy, Cobey, Elijah, and Exra. She also had a special bond with her niece Margaret Segura.

Sisters Sylvia Segura Bailey, Isabel and husband Joel Menendez, Delia and husband Richard Cuarenta, Martha Guajardo and boyfriend Jerry, two brothers, Joey Richard Guajardo, Christopher Guajardo and wife Ivi, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved dearly. She will be missed by so many.
