Mary Louise Moore

Mary Louise Moore was born in Arlington, Texas on October 26, 1924, to Champ Clark and Florence Lousie Fielder Barnes.

She graduated from Arlington High School and marrier high school sweetheart Billy Burk Moore. They settled in Arlington across the street from her parents on cast Abram.

Mary Lou and Billy moved to Lubbock where she worked for Texas Tech. They returned to Arlington where she was employed in the President’s Office at the University of Texas Arlington. In 1970 they moved to Houston where she was employed at Houston Baptist University.

Upon retirement, she and Billy moved to Lake Limestone where she was active in the United Methodist Church of Groesbeck, Cynthia Ann Garden Club, and Study Club.

After Billy’s passing, Mary Lou moved to Georgetown to be with family. She returned to Arlington and spent three years at Brookdale Senior Living. Due to health reasons, Mary Lou returned to Groesbeck to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, Steven Burk Moore of Victor, Montana: her daughter, Linda Louise and husband Ron Franks of Groesbeck: grandchildren Jim & Mary Franks Of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert and Lizette Franks of Amarillo, Texas, Steven & Nikki Franks of Dalles, Texas, Michelle & Brian Mendenall of Hamilton, Montana.

She has eight greatgrandchildren and many devoted nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered as a true southern lady, full of grace and charm. Her laugh And her smile will be missed.

Graveside services will be held in Arlington on April 10th.
