PATRICIA NATALIE “PATTY” HOWARD
Patricia Natalie “Patty” Howard, of Jewett, TX, passed away at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck, TX. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at age 59.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Killeen Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Patricia was born on Feb. 14, 1966, to Gordon David Doig and Noreen Grube Doig in New York City, New York. She grew up in different parts of the country as the family moved with her father’s job. After living from the East Coast to the West Coast and some in Texas, she graduated from high school in San Francisco, and then the family moved to Plano, TX.
Patty met Jeffrey Lynn Howard while they were both working security on a job, and they were united in marriage on Sept. 6, 1985, in Dallas. After living a year in Dallas, they moved to Plano.
Patty worked as a rehab technician in the health care field, and was a trained, certified brain-injury specialist at a trauma center in Ana, TX. She and Jeffrey were active members of the Valley Creek Baptist Church in Leonard.
Patty and Jeffrey moved to Jewett in 2019. It was her nature to do her best at anything she did, and she liked to try creative things as well, such as when cooking. She really loved being a grandmother and bragged about each grandchild as they were born and added to her family. She enjoyed babysitting those who lived near and talking on the phone with those who lived out of state. She not only loved her family but cared about everybody else as well.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Susan.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Howard; daughter and son-in-law, Kaszandra Rene and Chris Chamberlin and their children, Shelby, Camaron, Dakota and Harley; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha Marie and John Gaudet and their children, Isabella and Little Earl; stepdaughter, Kandace Leverette and her children, Mark, Zera, Willis and Elijah; and many great grandchildren.
