John Allen Cox, of Mexia, passed away on September 18, 2021 in Groesbeck, Texas at the age of 87. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in the Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck with Mr. Barry Pennington officiating. Lee Cox, Daniel Cox, Josh Cox, Matt McGilvray, Jerrod O”Neal, Bosten Cox, and Kuper Cox will serve as pallbearers.

Rickey Gene Sills, 68, of Pasadena, TX went to be with his Lord on November 2, 2021. He was born on February 11, 1953 in Pasadena, TX to Kenneth and Bonnie Sills. Rickey was in the graduating class of 1971 from Sam Rayburn High School. After graduation, Rickey started his career working at Mayson Auto Supply for many years and then Morgan Auto Supply for several more years before going to work for John Deere Tractor Supply as department manager where he retired. While growing up Rickey was very active with his father and brothers playing baseball and football as well as other sports. He enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities with his family. One of Rickey’s favorite things to do while vacationing with family was stopping along the way to read the historical markers.

Elise Lorena Haynes, 86, passed away on August 24, 2021 at her home near Mart. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church on the Rock in Groesbeck.
