Yours truly recently had foot surgery at Limestone Medical Center. Therefore, I have been confined at my home during the healing process. Hope to be out and about very soon!

Thanks to the staff at the Wound Care Center at LMC for their excellent care during the surgery and the very important follow-up care and procedures. The foot is doing well, but of course, it will take time to heal.

Thanks to my friends, especially my sister Martha, for looking after me.

Also, thanks to the Journal and Jennifer Paul for bringing me my mail each day as well as a new Journal each week.

Last week’s Journal included several interesting and informative news items. Including the news of the upcoming chamber banquet planned for Feb. 24. You can join the Groesbeck Chamber for ‘A Walk Through Time’ annual awards banquet. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the event will kick off at 6:30 p.m. The cost per ticket is $20.
