Cross Creek Meadows holds ribbon cutting

The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce welcomed Cross Creek Meadows Therapeutic Riding and Retreat Center as a new chamber member with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on March 19. Cross Creek Meadows is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides therapeutic riding or interaction with horses to bring confidence and healing to children, veterans and others with disabilities. A retreat-style setting on 36 acres houses the Equine Center consisting of a five-stall barn and a covered arena. Cross Creek Meadows exists to provide an opportunity for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth through equine-assisted activities, therapy and retreats. The CCM board of directors consists of Darla Wurtz, Jeri Penny, Charles Little (board chair), Jamie McLean (co-chair), Sherri Le Noir (secretary), Steve Nance, Joe Cayton and Kay Alston.
