Golf scramble to raise funds for arena cover

Golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity in April not only to enjoy their favorite game but also to help in a worthy cause: raising money for an arena cover at Cross Creek Meadows, an organization that serves veterans, first responders, children with disabilities and others interested in equine-assisted activities and therapies.

This is the first year for the golf scramble fundraiser, but organizers hope to continue it every year for the benefit of Cross Creek Meadows, a 501c3 organization.

The event will take place April 10 at Battle Lake Golf Course in Mart, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

The registration fee is $75 per person for a team of four.

Cash prizes and awards include 1st place, Middle of the Road, Second to Last, Longest Drive Men, and Longest Drive Women. Two (2) mulligans are included in the registration fee.

There will be a complimentary fish fry immediately following the scramble.

To sponsor a Team as a family, business or organization, call Darla at 254-366-6783. Deadline is March 31 for signs/banners sponsorship.

*For $500, you will receive your own banner to take home. You may bring a table to set up and hand out your company’s shirts, pens, etc. and you will also be added to the Group Banner (largest font), and have your name on a Table Sign and on a Hole Sign!

*For $250, your name will be on the Group Banner (medium font), on a Table Sign and on a Hole Sign.

*For $100, your name will be on a Table Sign and a Hole Sign.

*For $50, your name will be on a Hole Sign.

Raffle Tickets are $5 dollars each or five tickets for $20.

Raffle Winners DO NOT need to be present to win.

Raffle Prizes include a 9-mm Smith & Wesson; a $200 gift card to Tractor Supply and an LED shop light.
