Groesbeck runs over Rice 45-14

Groesbeck took a halftime lead of 26-0 over the Rice Bulldogs, overcoming a sluggish start and a bunch of penalties.
The Goats went on to record a 45-14 victory and start the season 2-0.
Ma’Quay Smith ran in three touchdowns, covering 6, 6 and 50 yards.
Kache Bagley intercepted a Rice pass late in the second quarter and returned it for a 70-yard touchdown.
Alan Lewis threw touchdown passes to Tyson Pringle for 21 yards and to Arturo Sotelo for 40 yards.
Rice scored twice in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout.
