Ladygoats to play Franklin Monday in first playoff game

The Lady Goats Playoff Game will be in Leon at 7:00 pm on Monday the 17th against Franklin.  Come out and support the Goats to victory.

Due to the Lady Goat playoff game, the regular scheduled Groesbeck School Board Meeting has been postponed till Thursday, February 20th  at 6:00 p.m.  There will be no superintendent roundtable this month.

A recent press release by the Groesbeck Lady Goats Basketball Coach Lisa O’Kelley and Superintendent James Cowley details the team’s playoff standings, as to be determined by a match between Lexington and Franklin. “We are 4th and Lexington and Franklin are tied for first in the other district,” said O’Kelley. “Unfortunately, they are at odds as to which they will do: flip for it or play it off. So I am at the mercy of those two and should know today what they are going to do. That means we don’t know when or where yet.” “If they flip for it we will play Monday. If it is against Franklin, we will play at Leon. If against Lexington we will play at Snook. If they play it off, we will play on Tuesday. If it is Franklin, still at Leon. If it is Lexington, possibly at Rudder." “No matter whom we are playing I am very proud of our Lady Goats for their efforts this season,” said Cowley. Congrats also go to Coaches O'Kelley, Roberts and Lichtenstein for their efforts in taking a team that barely won during the season two years ago to one that is making the playoffs
