A friend and I were just about to call it quits and make a dash for the boat ramp after a tough morning of bass fishing. The big July sun climbed in the cloudless sky and there wasn’t a breath of wind to stir the sultry air. It was getting hotter by the minute and we’d both had enough.
Groesbeck Athletic Boosters 35th Annual Golf Tournament took place Saturday, July 29 and was a huge success. The event was held in Mart at Battle Lake Golf Course. Taking home the wins were; first place was Groeschke, Elhers, and the Flemmings with a score of 59.
A tip of the hat and a congratulatory clap of the hands goes out to Jody White for a job well done.
The young Brazilian fishing guide named “Zeka” eased the aluminum skiff through a narrow canal deep in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. He alerted Gary Fisher and I to be on point as we neared a still water lagoon just around the next bend.
Attention Groesbeck Varsity Football Season Ticket holders- It is that time of the year to renew your seats for the upcoming 2023 Football Season. Emails to season ticket holders were sent out on June 12 from HomeTown Ticketing. The deadline to renew your seats is July 21 at 11:59 p.m. All non-renewed seats will be released for sale online to the general public on July 26 at 8 a.m. All 2023 Football Season Tickets will no longer be available after September 1 at 7 p.m. or when Reserved Seats sell out.
