A record 145 teams and 450 anglers competed in the 3rd Annual Neches River Life Big Catfish tournament held April 1415 on the Neches River. The tournament paid out over $30,000 in cash and prize giveaways, also a record.

The Groesbeck varsity tennis team continued their Central Texas tradition as a tennis powerhouse with an impressive run at the UIL Regional Championships in College Station on Monday and Tuesday, bringing home first place medals in both boys and girls doubles.
