Speak up for local abused and neglected children

Voices for Children, the Court Appointed Special Advocate or CASA volunteer program, needs community members to serve as advocates for local abused and neglected children. In the past two weeks alone, nearly 20 children have entered foster care in Limestone and Freestone counties and that number is anticipated to rise in the coming weeks. Voices for Children needs local volunteers who are willing to rise up and speak on behalf of foster children.

“And the Beat Goes On” as the song says. The Thornton Senior Citizens being served hasn’t missed a Thursday serving food to it’s seniors that desire to drive by the church and pick up their food. Some days a few get their meals dropped by their house for them due to the sweet and personal care shown by Janice Bilbrey, Geri Levassar and Donna Lloyd. Geri and Donna have been faithful to help manager, Janice with the food each wee. Thanks for the delivery from Groesbeck Senior Citizen Center each week for preparing and sending it each week.
