Westminster homecoming is well attended
The annual Westminster College homecoming was well attended this year. The homecoming was held on Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, in Tehuacana. Approximately 35 were present for Sunday’s meeting.
The homecoming is sponsored by the Westminster Ex-Students and Friends Association.
On Saturday night of the homecoming a group of Westminster folks met at the Cup of Joe Coffee Shop in Tehuacana for visitation.
The group met on Sunday at the Tehuacana United Methodist Church for the homecoming meeting and lunch which was catered by Sam’s of Fairfield.
Jim Meredith, president of the organization, presided and extended words of welcome.
Two main objectives of the Westminster Ex-Students and Friends Association is to restore the steeple on Texas Hall on the Westminster campus and to give six $1,000 scholarship to college age students who are nominated by members of the Association. The tower fund now has a total of $156,429 as of March 2017.
