Willow Blair, of Kosse, has run into success after success since graduating from Groesbeck High School in 2019. Though the salutatorian originally planned to join the Coast Guard, she is currently a student at the United States Military Academy (USMA) – West Point in New York.
A Groesbeck ISD school bus was involved in a minor accident Thursday morning, Oct. 6 The accident happened at approximately 7:15 a.m. and was transporting 26 students. Current information from the scene is that the GISD school bus was in the process of backing up (traveling less than 5 MPH) and impacted with a pickup that had stopped to wait for students to load the bus. Damage to the GISD school bus appeared to be a scratch on the back bumper and a small plate dislodged from the bumper.
The Groesbeck Lions Club held its monthly business meeting at its weekly meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Mi Rancho Mexican Resturant.
Groesbeck enjoyed the annual Fall Homecoming this past weekend. A large crowd of homecomers were present and numerous activities were held during the weekend.
