Unity can be described as the quality of being whole as one. You could say that unity is a short word for the word united as in the United States of America. One could also say that when used in those terms the word united is clearly becoming an oxymoron. Today it doesn’t take a mental giant to figure out that the United States of America is becoming a paradoxical phrase that seems to be contradictory or to go against common sense, but that is yet perhaps still true. Confusing isn’t it. Is it too late for us to pull our collective heads out of the sand and see the real bigger picture? I have been an eternal optimist for my entire life until now and want to believe there is a way, but it is late in the game, and we are losing to ourselves because the only thing that can destroy us is us.
