Unbeknownst to many, January is now recognized as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness month. January 11 was Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.?
Less than a week remains before the Jan. 31 deadline to register to vote in the March 1 primary. While Secretary of State John Scott publicly assured Texas voters that “every single eligible Texas voter will be able to register to vote if they have not done so already,” the League of Women Voters on Friday threatened to sue his office if the nonpartisan group isn’t provided with additional voter registration forms.
The Board of Directors of the Limestone Appraisal District met in regular session at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022, in the Appraisal District board room in Groesbeck, Texas.
Limestone County residents will have the opportunity Monday, Jan. 31, to “Meet the Candidates” running for county offices, as well as those who are running for the 87th District Judge and State Representative for District 13.
