The Fall Limestone County Hiring Fair took place Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Groesbeck Convention Center, drawing in a significant number of job seekers eager for new opportunities.
Gov. Greg Abbott issued three executive orders last week targeting the Chinese government and the Chinese Communist Party, The Dallas Morning News reported
Abbott said the orders were intended to protect Texans of Chinese descent from “harassment and intimidation” by the Chinese Communist Party and government, and to fight threats to state security.
The Thornton City Council took significant steps during its Nov. 18 meeting, including approving a grant application for community development funds and amending local ordinance rates.
The winner of the third annual Battle of the River Chamber of Commerce Challenge was announced during a Facebook live event on Thursday, Nov. 14, showing the Groesbeck Chamber prevailed.
Plans are underway to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Limestone County Courthouse during the week of Dec. 16.
