The hot summer weather has really been with us the past several days. The daytime temperatures have been 100 degrees plus every day for the past week or so. The 100-degree plus mark is in the forecast for this week!
Limestone County Museum Estate Sale
The Limestone County Historical Museum will have an estate sale at 603 E. Main Street in Mexia on July 15-16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. When the museum was gifted the Bessling-Cannon-Phillips Home by the Jack and Mary Phillips Charitable Trust (Comerica Bank, Trustee), it also received the contents of the home, most of which will be for sale during the estate sale. Items will be available in the historic home itself and in the garage with all proceeds from the sale going to the museum’s operating fund. Items for sale will include antiques, furniture, household items, bookcases, tools, some very unique items, and lots of books.
Beware: Burglarized Vehicles Happening In the Groesbeck Area
The Groesbeck Police Department received multiple reports of burglarized vehicles between July 7 and 8. The offenses occurred during the night and the early morning hours.
