In what was likely one of their quickest meetings yet, Limestone County Commissioners canvassed results from the May 7 Election in a special meeting on Thursday, May 19, and approved said results in under the two-minute mark before adjourning.

Our numbers dropped off a little more today down to 15. Ann Brown, Lorene Stembridge, Snuffy Bennett, Wayne Sharp, Wilma Lee, Neennah German, Elle and Hank Staniszewski, Jo Ann Archer, Sue and Woody Wood, Alma McCurry, Earl Mask, Janice Bilbrey and myself were in attendance. Special prayers for one of our regulars, Gayla Lind for health reasons. We had a nice lunch of pulled pork on a bun which was very tasty.
This weekend will be a big one for Groesbeck and the Limestone County area for the Groesbeck Heritage Festival of 2022 will be held this Saturday. The Festival will be held at the historic Old Fort Parker. Be sure to attend! Many activities will be taking place at the Heritage Festival. Also, taking place this weekend will be Cinch Ranch Sorting National Championship at the Limestone County Fairgrounds.
