We are so excited that all of our centers are open again. In our Groesbeck Center on Friday, May 7th being our regular Bingo day we had 8 people in attendance with 5 of them staying to eat lunch. Our jackpot winner of the day was Judy Vickery. We had Annita Childress, Iris McMahon, Pat Ogden, Sandra Richards, Norma Tate, Judy Vickery, Orma Williams and Robin York.
Texas Congressman Pete Sessions (District 17) joined county judges, Veterans Affairs representatives and other leaders at the Limestone County Courthouse on Tuesday, May 25, to encourage dialogue about experiences with the Veterans Healthcare System, and dial in on how to best meet the needs of Central Texas veterans.
Law enforcement and first responders garner a special kind of respect, and Groesbeck is proud to support citizens like Kenneth Shields who live to serve. A GHS graduate from Class of 2002, Shields was a senior when 9/11 occurred, and the tragedy paired with his personal experiences with law enforcement motivated him to pursue a career in service.
The Groesbeck tennis team won the State UIL 3A Mixed Doubles championship and won third place in the Girls Doubles at the Ann Marie Tennis Center in San Antonio last Friday, May 21.
