TX General Land Office “Treasures of the Texas Coast” Children’s Art Contest
Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush has announced that the 2021 “Treasures of the Texas Coast Children’s Art Contest” is open for entries. All Texas students (public, private, and homeschooled) in grades K-6 are encouraged to participate.
150 Years of History
Kosse celebrates its 150th Birthday in 2021. Celebrations of Kosse’s history and civic and business projects are planned, highlighted by a new City Hall and the restoration of one of the most recognized and historic downtown buildings.
New Year, Same Power Problems
After ushering in the New Year, Kosse residents experienced a power outage from around 2 a.m. on Friday, January 1 until about noon later that day. As a result of rainy weather conditions and powerful winds both on New Years Eve and New Years Day, downed power lines kept Entergy repair crews busy.
