Governor Abbott Declares May 3-9 Hurricane Preparedness Week

AUSTIN - May 4 - Governor Greg Abbott has issued a proclamation declaring May 3rd to the 9th as Hurricane Preparedness Week in the state of Texas. This proclamation raises awareness about the dangers of hurricanes and the precautions Texans can take as hurricane season approaches. The Governor is asking all Texans to take important steps to protect themselves and their loved ones from the danger and destruction that hurricanes can bring to communities, neighborhoods, and local economies.
